always...perhaps you can get the halfling octopussy girl's name from said film(dagon) and then your piece will have a name with a bit of macabre history!

Wow, those tentacles are spot-on. And as crazy and de-humanizing as they seem, you can still empathize with her. Poor thing. She looks so agonized.

Thank you. I looked at real tentacls and tried to get them close as I could. They were super fun. I love tentacles now! Its nice too to have people feeling empathy for a sculpture as if its alive.

i have no more words to say how BEAUTIFULL is what you do.
This creatures are so real, not only for the amazing perfect details, they´ve got something ALIVE, organic and crude.
I think your faerys are my :+fav:... i couldnt give that living formula to my dolls yet, i use apoxie clay and is so nasty and fragil....

Crude in my language means an impactfull flesh or skin, something impressive but natural, like creepy things....i cant find a better word to say it... like the six fingers, or the octopus tale in those ethereal bodies....

Thanks. :) Those are all defiantly good things to have. Well crude Im not quite sure unless you mean the loose roughness of my strokes.
I am starting to use epoxy clay. Its dificult to handle.

Very odd, but in a good way---it looks so real the close-up shot made me shiver. The tentacles are kinda gross, but it's only because they're well made. Great job!

Huh i somehow prematurely sent that comment, oh well.
I was gonna say that it looks like she lost all her energy trying to get back to the sea from being pushed ashore by tidal waves, that or trying to get away from the seamen

Wow, seriously those tenticles look so freakin' real! All wet and slippery! I love her expression...it's like she's calling out for help. I love her arm poses they are very graceful. And the context you put her in is just perfect. In fact the whole thing is just perfect!

Yeah I like the tentacles and didnt expect them to work so well, but since they freek people out I will reserve em to use again:) Plus I liked making a sence for a sculpt. I think that helps it be more like in their world

I actualy was annoyed with the arm and hand so it isnt quite perfect, but oh well. Im glad you like.

I love the tentacles! But then again I love real life otipi and squid...I think they are fansinating and cute! lol I think this is a very successful piece! Very Original...and who cares if the tentacles freak people out...I think that is why I like them.

In the ocean I can see how their speed, then silent creeping and abilty to get into any crevase after their prey seems devious! But I think they are graceful and beautiful. They are also symbolic I think of the dark aspect of mother.

Amazing work. I find the ribs (and what I presume are gills thereon) if anything more disturbing than the squid-like tentacles. You are clever making these.

This is gorgeous!!! Reminds me of the movie Dagon, which is adapted from a Lovecraft story. I love the bracelets around her appendages. I also think that squid is yummy to eat so forgive me if I am not disgusted by this ~ the juxtaposition of beautiful woman and (supposedly icky) animal parts makes for a very interesting creation.

Movies based on Lovecraft works are apparently often cheesy b and c grade affairs, but Dagon (the only one I've seen) was pretty good, also according to others who have seen more of the adaptions. I've only read a little bit of Lovecraft, too... most of his works are available online, but it's hard to read off the screen.
