Beautiful expression, and I love the way she is wrapped in fabric.

Once again, I am staggered by your ability. It boggles the mind to think you took some clay (heck, I've had clay!) and made something that so resembles a humanlike creature.

Thanks. The clay is great for sculpting almost anything you want and have it look so real.
I think alot of people underestimate it as just for beads or kids projects.

Oh, I've seen (and done) some amazing things with polymer clay, but those I can begin to understand the technical processes of how it's done. None of them involved emotions or the kind of pure expression that this does. This simply boggles the mind.

The medium is capable of capturing emotions. Ispend a long time around the eyes adn brows. I think some that sculpt only go as far to make a nice looking face then its done. I have to have the right feeling for my peice to tell a story. Im a 3d illustrator and character designer and not just a sculptor and dollmaker.

Exactly, exactly. These aren't just dolls, they are clearly characters.

Always. Your work inspired me to get back to art, actually.

I'm curious as to what clay you use, and how long it takes for you to do these? I'm not a sculptor, have never tried it. Now that I see what beautiful things can be created with some practised skill, I want to at least give it a go...
