Terribly compelling, outrageously beautiful work; a nascent dark miracle in progress... :faint:

Your sculpts are so lush and visceral. The detailing on the upper torso is interesting, like a martyr icon, and of course the mouth is superb. Curious to see the progress, especially with the head.

Thanks. Yours too! In fact I was thinking I wouldnt mind putting a metal spine into a bust sculpture ya know exposed.
Im adding an new image over this one today. Still not much done to the head yet. it hasnt said YES! to me :)

Spines are always a winner! So do you work out your design in the sculpt rather than render it from sketches? I have been approaching the stuff in my gallery that way; at best I'll have a rough thumbnail and a concept in my head. It's a refreshing break from having control art and tight designs like in my regular work.

I just sculpt freehand, no previous plans.

I've never worked in your material. Everything I do is for molding and casting (except my quirky assemblages) so I sculpt in wax and clay.

I am just starting to work in castilene for prototypes. I like it but dont really have resources or patience for casting.
