Pan's Labyrinthe faun by Sleetwealth Pan's Labyrinthe faun by Sleetwealth
7" figure based on the movie character. This is the first time Ive made a peice from an existing character. A diffenrt experiance. I wasnt quite satisfied and wanted even more life and realism.

This character is my favorite though the whole film! I had to stop the the movie to look at him close up and then go to the site and stare at it in wonder!

You did an amazing job! I bet you could make the tiny faeries for him.

My favorite too. I wanted the whole movie to be about him! I started sculpting before the movie was released then it came to DVD I used the extra features /making of to correct what I had done.

The fairies would be 1 inch for his 7 inches! You could Im sure make them, but me not so well!haha

You are dedicated. He has so many swirls and crevices and details that I would have gotten lost in it.

I want to make them! I just might make little green sprites to have in my studio. a present for myself!

I loved the movie (and it's amazing soundtrack). Your work ressembles the faun from the movie a lot. Congratulations for your achievement ;)

Yeah the soundtrack was sweet. I want more of the fantasy world of PL! I used the extras on the dvd to help me get his body acturate.

Thank you. Id actualy like to try him again. I think I can get a better resemblance and Id like to try a clay with a bit more translucency.

You could try doing the fairies of the movie (sorry if you already made'em and i failed to notice it) or the pale man ;)

Pale man I think would be fun. I wanted to know more about him in the story. The fairies I havent done. Id want them as compliments to the faun not on their own.

Love this movie as well as Devil's Backbone and Really love your Sculpt!!! I'm a Toy Sculptor full time so ,I know what it's like to be driven and chained to an existing character. Working within the confinds of a licensed character is tricky but, I do enjoy the inherent challenges that brings as well.
Anyway, thanks for sharing a great sculpt...Love it!!!!!!

A. :)

Thank you:) Yeah I know how that to do list gets! I have a bunch Ive been wanting to do for years!

I was really eager to get him done before everyone else made one too. I started before the movie was out and still someone made one and put on ebay before me! Oh well. I was surprised though more people didnt sculpt him! The auction didnt do super either. its realy risky to try to make something differnt for ebay.

You're right! Mind you at the moment ebay is poo for anything you list lol. I've had to start adding reserves to my work which I do not enjoy doing but it's better than letting pieces go for a pittance eh?

:iconsleetwealth:

Yeah I had to put reserves too. I used to start at 79 no reserve.
Faun was up last year, but not being pretty or having wings I should have expected it. This year has been lousey. Im taking commissions instead. Who needs the headache of listing and then ebay taking their gynourmous cut!
