I pick Scarlet up at least once per week. I hold her in my hands and find her utterly amazing. She sits on my bookshelves, guarding all the wondrous things to read and dream about.

Aw thanks:D This is the first one with an opening door. Its just a faux tooth on a pin so, it can float inside, but the tooth makes her more like she existed rather than just a souless doll.

Well you know figures of power Voodoo dolls, fetish figures, golems, mummies in sarcophigi. Always have a secret charm. Something added usually inside to make the quasi life work. For my first one it was a cherry seed heart.Theres life in the seed that transfers to the doll was my logic.

Its silly but, I think about things like that and get ravelled up in the magic.

Yes more doors if I can find them the right size and also I bought some pendants with window so, I can place items behind a window.

I know this was an old post but I had to comment anyway... Its not silly that you think about things like that and get ravelled in the magic... I believe that may be something that helps set you apart from other sculpture artists. My Aunt sometimes does sculptures and she too each as an individual, she gets a little caught up in a story to go with them and even somewhat attached to them.

Thank you. I guess I feel silly but, its part of the allure I build up when making a figure. I am obsessed and kept interested by the fantasy elements as I create.without that Id get bored and make a dead object.
Does your aunt post her work here? its really cool to read others art stories.

no she doesn't I keep trying to get her to. She doesn't live close to me, if she did I would make an account for her and help her. She has made me a pair of hands holding a new born foal... its beautiful.. all though my damn cat tried to eat it. Don't know why but they like that clay. Anyway your work is amazing!!! and unique

Another fantastic piece. You've inspired me to have a go at my own bust. I just wish I had the imagination you lend to a piece.

I'm letting it flow. After an evening of eye strain I just wish it hadn't flowed to individual fronds of seaweed for hair. Feel like I've been making them for a million years :)

I always think your sculptures are so much bigger than they truly are....I'm blown away every single time I realize the true size. You are an amazing artist & I love your work....

This answers my earlier question about the scale of this series. Congratulations on the level of detail!
