Song is 6& 1/2" to the tips of her crown.

She is excited to be growing her beautiful new horn!
A coming of age for her people. But there are growing pains to endure!
I was amped about the concept of a horn that grows out of a fissure at the pituary gland rather than plunkled on top of the head.
I reasoned as a child a race of unihorned people would be hornless and they would sprout, with headaches and some blood as the skin splits. Slowly throughout adulthood the crown grows shut.

I used a new paint method on this. I painted precuring. Pushing the brush into the paint and clay to make a skin texture.

oooooh, the expression is great, as is the concept. but the greatestest of it all is the astounding texture on her crown. that ones pure dope.

for some reason, singing and growing horns makes me think of animals who use hollow parts of their anatomy for resonance. now that would be a breaking of the voice...

Really interesting thoughts about animal resonance and coming of age when your voice matures! Thanks Im into that crown too. Such fun making that!

Last night seemed connected..I dreamed that I called a stag god for help by chanting his name over and over. I cant recall what the name was anymore! When he came gallopign from the forest, he was a giant! A hooved being... though I cant tell if he had a stag head, but he talked english! He said that the one I called was his greatgreat grandather and died ages past.
I dont know why I was still calling this ancient god as if I had myself lived thousands of years more. A tiny sentient hairy spider people had given me the cauls from thier newborns. Two small papery thin casings I tried to keep the wind from blowing away. The whole village was full of humans elves ,dog like people and little folk all living together like it was the most common thing. I was collecting items for a spell to get rid of black slugs infecting the towns people. The people all had mini black leaches dripping from thier mouths and noses! Oldly enough this dream was about the future.. 210000 I saw on a calendar

haha. Oh but see shes also happy! Not all pain is bad. Childbirth is happy and painful! Think of it as symbolic. change is hard but rewarding!

Thank you:)

wonderful design...and I love the skin texture, looks amazingly touchable...it rather reminds me of an old Alan Garner story I used to love as a child.."ELIDOR"..it had "the song of findhorn"[findhorn was a legendary unicorn, who only sung when he died:(] it's a fascinating idea,it suggests both birth and death...a great concept!
