two things, I want to name a band 6"bust now because I like how it sounds. secondly like I said on facebook you are amazing with textures. All the little fiddly bits really and truly just drive your artwork into a new level.

Another awesome piece.

You know what? I wish you would produce an MSD-sized BJD head in your incredible and instantly-recognisable style and sod DoA's "Asian aesthetic". I'd buy it!

Oh gosh. many times people have said I should do more bjd. I wish so much I had it in me to get them done and cast. maybe I should customize commercial ones cause I am having a hard time getting Vanessa were I like her and after so, much work I no longer feel satisfied or a connection. I actaully want to sculpt her again from scratch using the old version as a maquette. but I also would love to see much child busts turned into resin BJDs.

Are you trying for a different style with her? Perhaps it would sit better going with your beautfiul, ethereal and sinister children. This is why I suggest an MSD. Child-sized. And why not get it cast commercially? That would take some of the pressure off. Oh, cheesy-please! The BJD world needs more of your work. Don't let the ridiculousness of the aesthetic criteria of one doll forum put you off.

Vanessa is a 15" adult fawn fairy so shes different but, has my signature scarifications. MSD is a good size I think. Vanessa is small for a bjd and so would need to be dressed by new owners.
I did not choose her to be made into a BJD but it was suggested to me she( the earlier bust "Vanessa" was my best choice and that Id be "invested in ", represented and get offered to a certain wealthy client list if I wanted to go with her.

Theres a caster in China I plan to work with. Her name is Ivy. Ive heard nothing but, good about her services from other BJD artist who are doing great. If I can get a bjd completed now.A bust is one thing but, joints and all Id want to be perfect.
happy to say that I don't need DOA for promotion anymore.^-^ If had a doll made I know I could get a preorder now.

Well, good for you and I will wait with keen anticipation for developements. Personally, I would love to see someone like Alice as a BJD. That would knock my socks off.

And if you are stymied by having to engineer the body, why not offer a selection of heads and leave the body for when and if you feel like doing it? Sometimes it can be the sheer scale of a task that prevents us from even starting it.

Whatever you do, good luck with it.

Alice would be unusual since she has such an intense look. a few others Id like to try. Theres not many child BJDS that are realistic. Dandelion is the only one I can think of that's not anime influenced.

the problem with making a head for existing body is it wont match in style or proportion.
