She is made of polymer clay, pearl ex is added to the clay to give it shine and the blue shadows are painted with pastels.

i have been longing to learn to work with polymer i think perhaps i shall start at the turn of the new year!!!

It realy is a great medium that hasnt even been explored much by fine artists. I look forward to seeing what you would do!

Yes I make all the clothes by hand. Im definatly not good at sewing. Some of it is glued into trenches I carve into the clay to minimize the amount of sewing . Im hoping to get better at designing fancy period gowns. but if thats not your thing you can sculpt the clothing in differnt colored clays.

hmm yes i could sculpt clothing from clay but the costumes along with the colors and facial expressions makes the complete feel.. thank you it will be a while before i venture in as i said the new year i expect to waste lots of clay just tryin to get the feel
and thank you tons for you input and help sweetie

Thats true the full multimedia effect is the best. I would love to discuss methods etc more with you! Your paintings are incredible and just the idea of similar sculptures intruges me.
clay never gets wasted that is a nice thing about it. if you sculpt and it looks bad you can smoosh and reuse. Even dirty and old clay can be used in cores or mixed in black clay

Your welcome , no trouble:)

Thank you, Thank you. The skin has blue pearl clay mixed in it and after I also painted with acrylics that have pearl mica in it.
I challange myself each time to try for more than Ive tried before. That way I hope I can grow into a stronger artist.Sometimes I just want to be lazy and make a fun one ,but usualy Im pushing to learn.

Thank you love. There is even more help now than when I started. You might get there quicker! Just keep enjoyng the process and before long you have gotten so skilled, but for the artist the next goal is always over the horizon! You never see "ah perfect"! I can die happy". its always.. hmm oh this little thing could be better!

Your welcome too.Its a blessing to be able to share and be appreciated!

Oh, she's beautiful. I love her flame-like hair and the color of her top is just a great contrast against the rest of her icy blue self. It's breathtaking.

Thank you:) her gravity defying hair kinda coveres the throne back ,but I liked the way it make her look windblown. yeah Im so happy with The warm color contrast. I think that really helped inpire me to think of the northern lights instead of the usual monotones of winter.

Thank you! ...have been lured to the dark underbelly of fabric addiction. Ive fallen in love with duponi, damask and silken trims! I was already heavy into masks and corsetry so, probably more gowns to come.

I hope it doenst make you despair! I really wore myself out on this and it wasnt a cake walk. One day I worked beading all day then stayed up all night sewing tiny beads! I get kinda of obsesive over details. I think you have all the tools you need babe!
